Our Vineyards in Gattinara

Molsino
One of the most suitable vineyards of Gattinara. From the grapes of this area comes the Gattinara Riserva DOCG "CESARE", the noblest of the expressions that we have managed to give to this DOCG. Soil rich in volcanic porphyries, with important clay.
South-west exposure, 390 to 420 metres above sea level
Yield per hectare less than 50 quintals, vines over 30 years old.
Valferana and Uccineglio
Two other particularly high-quality areas of the region. The soil is less porphyry than the aforementioned Molsino , but the incidence of volcanic minerality remains present and is noticeable. The clay gives elegance, the temperatures in the vineyard are less extreme because the altitude is lower and the exposure to cold winds or summer sun is more controlled. From this area come the Gattinara DOCG and the Gattinara Riserva DOCG.

Bark
A total of 5 hectares in the Bramaterra DOC area, in the municipality of Roasio, of Nebbiolo, with some rows of Vespolina, Croatina and Uva Rara. Reddish clay, rich in iron. The wines produced from the grapes of this region present great austerity and seriousness, with particular and complex blood notes.
